We publish our results. This page explains exactly what each number means, where it comes from, and what we do (and don't) count — so you're never left wondering whether a statistic is marketing or fact.
Numbers are easy to put on a website and hard to verify. We'd rather tell you exactly how ours are built than ask you to take them on faith. Every figure below is tracked in our internal case records and reviewed when we update the site.
A candidate counts as "placed" when they accepted and started a paid role that our team sourced, introduced, or directly supported them in applying for, through Search & Apply, Reverse Recruiting, or our Search Partner Network. This figure is cumulative across our full nine years of operation, not a single calendar year.
This is a broader figure than "placed." It includes every client who engaged any of our paid services — Executive Career Branding, Search & Apply, Reverse Recruiting, Executive Search Partnership, or Career Transition — regardless of whether their search ended in a placement. We count someone here once they've completed onboarding and received a deliverable (a finished resume, a tracked application, a search partner introduction, and so on).
An "interview" is a scheduled conversation with a hiring manager, interview panel, or search partner's client, arising from an application, outreach message, or introduction our team made or directly supported. We count the interview, not the number of rounds within it — a candidate who goes through four rounds at one company counts once.
This reflects the average change in base compensation our placed candidates reported between the role they held before engaging us and the role they accepted afterward. It is self-reported by candidates at the time of placement and is not independently audited by a third party. It does not include bonus, equity, or other variable compensation.
JAY Search Partners has operated continuously for nine years. For the first eight of those years we worked entirely through direct referral and did not maintain a public website or brand presence; 2026 is the year we began operating publicly under the JAY Search Partners name. The placement, client, interview, and salary figures above are cumulative across the full nine years, including the referral-only period.
These numbers are real, drawn from our own case records, not estimates. Because our clients are senior professionals and executives, many ask us not to publish their names, employers, or search details, and we honor that. We don't publish a client roster or case identities without explicit permission. Where a client has agreed to serve as a reference, we can make an introduction on request so a prospective client can hear about their experience directly — without us publishing their details publicly. We're building a growing library of named, permission-based case studies over time (see our case studies section as it develops).
